Peace on Earth by Jennifer

Hi everyone! Jenn here with a Bible journaling page that I completed to finish up the final week of Advent. This month I have been so enjoying my weekly advent studies. Here is just a little peek into what I have been learning.

In my weekly Advent study the 4th week is based around peace. I started by first sketching out my lettering and doodles with a pencil then I went back in with my black permanent fine tipped pen. Once I was satisfied with everything drawn I erased all the stray pencil lines, as those are super tough to erase after you watercolor...believe me I know from experience. I love using the water color pencils to precisely fill in the doodles

and then going back over all the color with a water brush. The vibrancy of the pencils is terrific! Any areas that need a little more color you can always touch your water brush to the tip of the pencil and pick up color and place it where needed. I love this technique and use it often just like if you had a pan of watercolor paint.

Once the watercoloring has completely dried I go back over the line work a few times to make sketchy, imperfect lines....totally unnecessary, just my favorite style.

For the final touch I add little bits of white gel pen for highlights and to give the image more life.

Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests!" Wow this verse is so full of hope, and joy! One of the very few times an exclamation point is used...so you know it has a lot of emotion behind those words. The angels appeared to the lowest of all society, the shepherds and told them the best news ever. A Savior had been born to bring joy and peace. So this has me thinking ...what is peace? Peace is learning to trust God even in the midst of chaos. Peace is having confidence in God who loved me so much he was willing to send his son to earth as a helpless baby. Peace is saying no to the world and yes to God. That is the kind of peace that I need in my life during the chaos of Christmas and all year long. I hope and pray you hold on to this peace as we move into the new year.

Holiday Cheer by Michele

Michele Kovack is so glad she participated in the recent Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!   She used this cute little Coffee Plans stamp set from SRM Stickers!

For her card, she wanted to create a background using the coffee cup.  She stamped it in a brown ink and used Prisma Colored pencils.  Then added a sentiment from the Stickers by the Dozen collection across the front.  She tucked a red die cut leaf behind it.  (After the leaf had been given a coating of glossy accents and glitter!)

Michele added a bit of rustic twine tied into a bow.  She scattered several gems and stars to the front.

Michele rounded the back panel's edges on two sides and adhered the entire front to a kraft card.

Thank you all for stopping by!  We appreciate your visits!

Winter Fun with SRM Vinyl by Shanna

Hello SRM friends, Shanna here today with some wintery-fun!

Nothing brings forth the pictures of winter more than fluffy white snow....Small problem at my house though....I live in California!!  Snow is not generally seen at my house, and traveling to the snow is not impossible, but not always practical.  I have seen some ideas floating around the internet and decided to capitalize on them with my own twist! The end result was this fun, personalized, giggle- inducing indoor snowball fight kit!

I loved using the SRM vinyl to design the bucket just how I wanted it... Fonts and me have an ongoing affair ( there is NO such thing as "too many"!) and I love how this script font adds a bit of whimsy!

The "snowballs" are simple pom-poms made out of fluffy soft yarn I found at my local craft store.

Materials Used:
Silhouette Cameo
Galvanized Bucket (or container of choice)
White Yarn of choice (here is what I used)
Pom-Pom maker (makes life WAY easier!)

Who doesn't dream of throwing a snowball or two at your loved ones??  LOL  Everyone gets to stay warm and dry at the same time!

Hope you enjoyed my project, let me know if you have any questions!
Have a Merry Christmas, and a fabulous New year everyone!

Until next time,
Shanna

Happy Birthday Card by Melanie

Hello!  Melanie joining you for a fun birthday card idea.
Glad to have you stop by today! This is a big month of birthdays in our family. Between my family and my husband's family, we have 9 birthdays in 12 days! So in honor of all the birthday celebrations, I am sharing a birthday card with you.

It is no secret that one of my favorite characteristics of SRM stickers is their seamless look on paper. I love how they can be added anywhere and cut to fit perfectly, if needed.

I added a piece of gold shimmer twine to the tag as well. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from We've Got Your Sticker/Happy Birthday.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful day! Go out and celebrate :)

Bible Journaling Worship & Praise by Karen

One of the main reason I Bible journal is because it gives me the time to meditate on specific words of scripture. While I am coloring or painting or stamping, I am repeating scripture in my mind and contemplating the meaning of these precious words. The creative process draws me in and allows me to linger longer in the Word.

My page today gave me the chance to target specific words and think about the many reasons to worship and praise our amazing God.

Psalm 29 is a psalm of worship and praise. It wasn't difficult to find many of the words used in this psalm in stamp form on SRM's two "wordfetti-style" faith stamp sets - Daily Devotion and Scripture Notes. These two sets contain multiple words that can be used in a variety of ways.

After lettering "worship" and coloring it in with marker and watercolor twists, I added several word stamps to emphasize some of the words in the Psalm. I also added a star stamp from another set, Child of God. I created the background using the watercolor twists and a water brush. Then, I added a few highlights with my white pen. I really like how this page turned out and am grateful for the time to worship and praise God through Bible journaling. Be blessed!

Holiday Cheer by Michele

Good morning!
Michele here! It is hard to believe that Christmas already here!
I stamped this card and colored it with Copics. I added some fun details with a White Gel Reminisce Pen! I drew stripes on the present and cute polka dots on the little girl's dress.

This card would be fun to give to anyone during the holiday season.  There's
still time to create it! :).

I added a bit of glitter too for some holiday sparkle!
I tied pink/white twine vertically with a couple of matching jingle bells.  As a final touch I adhered a sentiment from the Stickers by the Dozen/Gingerbread Man.

Thank you for stopping by today!!  And have a very merry Christmas from all of us at SRM Stickers.

Using Vinyl in Bible Journaling

Hello! Samantha with you to share some Christmas Bible journaling. To create this page I decided to do something I've been wondering about for a long time: using vinyl in Bible journaling.

For this page I used black vinyl, silver vinyl, Reminisce white gel pen, Marvy gold paint pen, 3 different shades of blue ink, and a Silhouette Cameo (or a way to cut vinyl).

I started this page by sponging on shades of blue ink for the background. Then, I cut out the city of Bethlehem from black vinyl. Since it's one large piece, I just peeled it off and stuck it on the bottom of the page like I would a sticker.

Next, I cut the words "Oh little town of Bethlehem" out of silver metallic vinyl. Because these were much smaller pieces, I used transfer tape to move the whole phrase onto my page. I wasn't sure if the transfer tape would stick too much to the Bible page (since it's so thin), but it didn't. Go right ahead and use vinyl and transfer tape in your Bible, just move slowly!

I finished up my page by using the white gel pen to add lots of little stars and the Gold paint pen to add one big star.

I'm really excited that I finally tried using vinyl in Bible journaling, and that it turned out so well. This adds endless new possibilities for creating!

Christmas in my Faith planner by Jennifer

Hello friends, Jenn here! Today I am sharing planner pages from my faith planner, which in case you are curious is the Happy Planner faith edition. I typically use my faith planner to write out scriptures, take sermon notes, podcasts notes, and a place to write prayers.

Decorating my pages makes them a little more inviting and a little less intimidating than a blank page.

To begin, I pulled out these adorable border stickers that remind me of washi and they all coordinate together...bonus! Next I used a couple clear stickers to make my pages feel a little more festive. Using the large Merry and Bright sentiment I stamped on the top and bottom of the coordinating pages in red and
green. A few extra bits of washi and my pages are finished. I mentioned earlier that I really enjoy having lots of space to journal, but if you prefer no or little white space stamp and sticker away SRM has tons of beautiful stickers and stamps to bring joy and color to your pages.

I hope this inspires you to pull out that planner and write down those prayers, scriptures and devotional times. Looking back over the weeks and months is such a great way to see how God is moving in our simple everyday lives. I pray you all have an incredibly blessed and joyful Christmas and I will see you back here on this blog in the New Year!

Christmas Kraft Gift Bags by Giorgia

Hello from Susan!  We have so many wonderful Christmas ideas that I decided to double up on blog posts so we are doing 2 posts today.  The first one was a 12:01 AM and this one is at 12:01 PM!  Still plenty of time to create this fun idea from Giorgia Rossini!

----------------

Hello SRM friends, Giorgia here today with you to share a Christmas packaging that's perfect for last minute gift wrapping. I love to create handmade packaging and with SRM bags and stickers it is really quick and easy.  I love SRM kraft bags, they are so versatile and you can decorate them in so many different ways!

Here you can see my gifts: handmade bookmarks (with SRM Stickers!) - I will tell you soon in another post how to make them too, so stay tuned for it - and a mini candy cane. These are for my colleagues.I gathered all my SRM Christmas themed supplies and started having fun!

I decided to use Stickers By The Dozen/Christmas. I wrapped the strips of stickers all around the bag creating a decoration. To close the bag I fold the top and add the round stickers. I decorated the stickers with a twine bow.
I created two similar bags: by changing the position and colors of stickers and twine here they are two cute bags.

And you? How do you wrap your small Christmas presents? I would love to see it!
Until next time,
ciao, Giorgia

Christmas Bags by Shelly

Here's the second post of the day on the SRM Blog!  We have so many wonderful last minute ideas to share before Christmas!  There's still time to do this simple idea from Shelly Kurth.

-------------------

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Today I'm sharing a couple little Christmas bags with you!

I think these could be perfect for stocking stuffers or a little gift to a neighbor/friend or perhaps adding them on your Christmas tree for a little surprise! :)

I started with my bags and simply tied them with the strings. I then added some fun stickers onto kraft cardstock and made my sentiment piece into a little banner. Once done, I punched a hole in each for my pieces and then using some jute twine, added them to my bag.
Simple, yeah?!...

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Quick Christmas Cards by Tobi

Hi there! It's Tobi Crawford here, and I'm all-in when it comes to Christmas!

I usually make 40-50 cards for friends and family and I try to never duplicate a design (I get bored), so one trick I use is pairing SRM Sentiment Stickers with die cuts and patterned papers!!

I think we all have dies and paper, and using stickers for your sentiment is a really quick and easy way to add the right sentiment for the right person!

This sentiment was adhered to vellum because I wanted the background to peek through.

Christmas Computer Decal by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today with an idea to deck your halls...or more accurately your computer for Christmas with a Christmas computer decal.

It just might be the easiest decorating you do this season. All you need is some vinyl (I used SRM's metallic vinyl, silver and metallic gold) and a way to cut that vinyl (I used a Silhouette Cameo).

To be honest, I spend a lot of time on my laptop. I shop from my computer, edit photos, write blog posts, and the list goes on. Why not dress up my computer for the holidays, and give myself a reminder of what this season is really about?

The best part is that, because this is vinyl, when Christmas is over I can easily remove my Christmas computer decal and replace it with something else (I'm thinking, "Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly"). What would you put on your computer?

Last Minute Gifts! by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a quick gift idea! I am a school teacher and I like to get all of my coworkers a little "somethin', somethin," without breaking the bank.  And immediately my mind goes to food.  Because who doesn't love food?  I have a basement piled high with alterable items, so I grabbed a bunch of these mini glass jars.

I put two strips of double sided tape and sprinkled them with glitter.  I used my Silhouette to cut the bows and adhere them to the top of the jar.  I placed this cute gingerbread sticker from Stickers by the Dozen, on a piece of vellum and cut it out with a circle punch.  I tucked it under the bow, adhered it in place, and voila!  Easy peasy, lemon squeezie! (I have been teaching 9 year olds a very, very long time!)

Thank you for stopping by!!

Stocking Stuffers with the Magic Wand Tubes by Christine

Hello from Susan!  We have so many wonderful Christmas ideas that I decided to double up on blog posts so we are doing 2 posts today.  The first one was a 12:01 AM and this one is at 12:01 PM!  Still plenty of time to create this amazing idea from Christine Meyer.

----------------

Christine joining you today with a stocking stuffer idea that anyone, young or old, is sure to love!  I've been looking at the Magic Wand Tubes for awhile and longing to fill them with skittles or M & M's - Christmas seemed like the perfect time to do just that.

These were super easy to put together with the help of some vinyl, punched pieces, and stickers by the dozen!

I used red vinyl and silver vinyl cut into 1/4" strips and wrapped them around the tubes to mimic the look of candy canes.

Punched Pieces in multiple sizes and colors took the lead in decorating.  I then topped them off with Christmas Stickers by the Dozen.  Here's a video walking you thru how I put these together!

Thanks for joining me today - have fun with your holiday crafting!
