2017 Workout Calendar by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today to share with you how I'm going to be using a SRM 8x8 Keepsake Calendar in 2017. Truth be told, in January of 2015 I started eating really well, but exercising regularly is still something I really struggle with. I've decided to do a better job of motivating myself and holding myself accountable in 2017, so I used an 8x8 Keepsake Calendar to create a 2017 Workout Calendar.

Instead of using photos, I made some inspirational printables for the front of the calendar and for each month. At the end of this post you can download your own set for free. For the cover, I made a grey rectangle in the center that is just the right size for a large year sticker from the Year of Memories 2017 sticker set. I love how the clear stickers go on so seamlessly, that you don't even realize it's a sticker!

I'm going to use the Healthy Plans clear stamp set to keep track of what days I exercise, and what kind of exercise I do (walking, yoga, cardio, etc.). I'll stamp an icon each day that I exercise to help keep me accountable. I'm also going to track my water intake with the use of the water bottle icon stamp from the set.

The calendar comes completely blank, so I added my days with the Small Calendar Numbers stickers and the months with the Large Snappy Calendar Months stickers

To add a little more color to my calendar, I used the Color In Watercolor pencils to color the area around the month, and then blended the pencil with a waterbrush to make the color more smooth.

I tried to make the color of the printable and the area I colored in with pencil go with the feel of the month. For example, you see above, that for July, I went with red, white and blue. For November (below) I went with brown, orange, and yellow for a more fall feel.

I think this is going to be a great way to hold myself accountable and have a bit of fun while I track my workouts.

Don't forget to grab an 8x8 Keepsake Calendar and the free PDF printable so you can make your own 2017 workout calendar.

Brush Lettering Love by Tenia

Hello!  Tenia here today to share some projects I've been making using the new Le Plume II Brush Markers.  Lettering is all the rage and it's truly a love of mine so these new pens were a great addition to my stash.
Let's just say that I "LOVE" them!

Here are a few projects all about LOVE that I created playing with my new pens. First up, I used 4 different colors to write love all using the brush tip end.  The word "you" is using the fine tip end.  Of course I finished off my sheet of paper using my favorite Sticker Stitches

I love that the Le Plume II has a brush tip and a fine tip!

And for my second project I created a little kraft card and decorated the edges with Little Borders.  Love them!  Again I used 4 different colors of pens for my "love always" sentiment.  I used the brush tip for all of the words.

Got to go!  Need to do more of my new favorite crafty thing to do….brush lettering! :)

First Day of School by Tanya

Hello everyone!  This is Tanya with a quick and easy Back to School project for you.

Don't you just love all of the fun "First Day of School" photos you see on social media these days?  The photos are such great mementos of each new school year.  My grandsons will be starting a new school year very soon and I thought I would have a couple of picture frames ready for their big day:

I found these inexpensive wooden frames at my local craft store and dressed them up with stickers from the Express Yourself/School sticker sheet and the Live Life/School sticker sheet.

For each frame, I first added my stickers to white cardstock and trimmed close to the edges. Next, I glued the white layer onto either red or blue cardstock and trimmed again before adhering them to my frames. A few enamel stars in red and blue add to the back to school theme.  All I need now is a photo of each of my boys on their big day and my frames will be complete!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thank You Gift Set by Amber

Hello everyone! It's Amber here, with a new card and cute little matching gift box. I wanted to have fun with this gift set and decided to go a little crazy with my color choices. I really love how the bright pink pops against the green and the multi colored patterned paper I added to the bottom ties everything together.

I started with a 5 1/2" x 4" white card base and layered my two pieces of patterned paper, I added the green patterned piece to the top half and the striped patterned piece to the bottom half. Once I had my patterned paper adhered to my card base I rounded the two top corners of my card and added a green scalloped border sticker from the We've Got Your Border- Halloween sticker sheet between my two pieces patterned paper. On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped my large blossom in some tuxedo black Memento Ink, colored it with some markers, fussy cut it, and adhered it to the upper half of my card base. For my sentiment I adhered one of the clear thank you stickers from the We've Got Your Stickers- Thanks sheet to a 1½" pink scalloped circle and added it to the bottom right of my card base.

I just love these little clear square boxes, don't you? They are quick and easy to assemble and are the perfect size for little treats. I folded my clear little box and added a square piece of green pattered paper and added some colorful little candies to the inside. I quickly decorated the front of my little box with a ripped piece of  patterned paper, a 1½" pink scalloped circle, a thank you sticker, and some ribbon. Super easy and the perfect little addition to any card.

Thanks for visiting!

Pretty in the Pantry Vinyl Project by Shantaie

Hi I'm Shantaie a happy team member here at SRM
I'm so in love with my cottage kitchen, not only because I just took delivery of a gorgeous new pair of stainless appliances but because my baking pantry is so pretty!!!

Can I just say that I let out a squeal of shear delight when I received my Silver metallic vinyl from SRM I knew right away it was going to be perfect on my storage containers!

The color is identical to stainless and has the same texture! Super easy to cut with my Silhouette on a blade setting of 1 and the negative areas peel away or "weed" much more simply than I thought they would, a pleasant surprise. It is slightly reflective and really clean and modern looking.

Honestly after years of projects my family is not easily impressed, and what do you know they all love these canisters! {maybe they will cook more?!} With a pantry this dreamy I think anything can happen!

To cut your own visit the Silhouette store for the beautiful cut files here:

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you will get yourself some SRM Oracal 631 Vinyl and have as much fun as me! :)  Warning:  There are soooooo many colors to choose from!

Walk in the Light by Karen

Today I'm sharing a page in my journaling Bible. In Ephesians 5:8 we are urged to "walk as children of light." One of the many reasons I love SRM and am so excited to be a part of their Design Team is that, by offering a variety of faith-themed stickers and stamps, they are not only walking in the light, but shining that light and providing products for others to do the same.

I wanted to set up a contrast between dark and light on this page ("...for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord." verse 8). To create the background, I used my ColorIn Watercolor Twist  to color areas with black, purple, and blue. Then I took my Blender Brush and began to blend them squeezing gently to release more water. I love this effect and it's easy to control the amount of water on these thin bible pages so it doesn't become completely saturated.

When the page was completely dry, I stamped the sentiment and stars in (waterproof) black ink. The new SRM Faith stamp set The Lord is my Light worked perfectly here. This set makes it really easy to create a variety of perfect phrases and sentiments. I couldn't resist the super-cute star banner stamp found on the new Birthday Plans set either. To create the glow, I again used the Watercolor Twist and Blender Brush to add the yellow.

Just Believe Stamps Background by Amber

Hello SRM Sticker fans. It's Amber here, today I'm sharing this colorful colored card and matching envelope featuring SRM's Just Believe Stamp Set & SRM's Big Thank You Stamp Set. I decided to go all out with my stamped background and ended up using six out of the thirteen stamps from the Just Believe Stamp Set. Check it out!

I started with a basic kraft card base and started stamping all my images in some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. After I had all my images stamped I colored them in with a four pack of Marvy's Bright ColorIn markers and a C11 Spectrum Noir marker.

Once I had all of my images colored I stamped the word "Thanks" from the Big Thank You Stamp Set onto a kraft piece of cardstock that I cut into a banner. I added a staple and some twine at one end and attached it towards the bottom right of my stamped card base.

A card is not a card without a matching envelope so I decided to stamp one to match my card. I stamped one large flower, four leafy stems, a lady bug, and one of the sentiment borders along the bottom half of my envelope. I colored in all of the images with the same markers I used for my card, making sure everything coordinated nicely . I hope you enjoyed my card and matching envelope today! Thanks for visiting!

I Am With You Bible Journaling by Samantha

Hello!  Samantha here today to share some Bible Journaling with you.  I often Bible journal from notes I've taken from Sunday's sermon, but sometimes ideas come to me in other ways. Just recently my Amazing Grace Bible journaling stamp set was sitting next to my Today, Tomorrow, To Do planner stamp set, and I saw the "I am with you always" stamp from Amazing Grace and thought it would be really fun on a page with the "today" and "tomorrow" stamps from the planner set. Thus this I Am With You Bible journaling page popped into my mind.

I like to build my background first. I started with some Marvy Color In watercolor pencils. I colored a big swatches of color, and the went over the whole page with the Marvy Color In Water Brush. This helps blend the color and gives the whole page a softer feel.

After my page dried, I went back and stamped "today" and "tomorrow" from the Today, Tomorrow, To Do planner stamp set in coordinating colors. I left a blank space right in the center so I could stamp "I am with you always" from the Amazing Grace Bible journaling stamp set in black ink.

I felt that my main thought needed a bit more pop, so I grabbed my watercolor pencils again and colored in a few of the letters. I also used a little dot stamp from the Big Trinity stamp set to underline always.

I like to add little tabs to each of my decorated pages in my Bible, so I finished the page of with a little red tab. I used a "remember" sticker from the Planner Icon sticker sheet to label my tab. I'd love to hear where your inspiration for your Bible journaling comes from!
