Design Team Farewell by Susan

Saying goodbye is always difficult for me.  Next week our new design team will begin it's term which is very exiting!  Some of our current team members will be joining the new team, but for those team members who are not, I wanted to salute you for your wonderful projects, your friendships and your talent.  I hope that each of you will return to do guest design spots for SRM.  You are always welcome here!

Today, I'm going to share a favorite project from each of the departing team members.

First up is Juliana Micheals.  What a dear. And what a talent.  I love everything that Juliana makes.  It was hard to choose my favorite but I decided that I love what she does with vinyl so here's my favorite project.  With Halloween not far off, you still have time to create this fun idea.  Juliana uses SRM's black vinyl and Black Striped patterned vinyl on this project.

Next, a big thank you to Tessa Buys who has been working with SRM products since 2011.  What amazing work she does.  She always makes SRM look good.  I love what Tessa has done with SRM products in her planner.  One this page she's used lots of clear sticker sentiments and some Sticker Stitches too.  Beautiful!

And how fortunate we have been to have Lesley Croghan on our team.  Her projects are always perfection.  She loves making gift sets using SRM containers and stickers and since she is a teacher what a perfect idea to have a gift set for back to school.  Thank you Lesley for being such a great team member.  Hope you will come back for a guest designer feature.

And thanks to Amy Crockett for her beautiful work using SRM products,  Her card making is beautiful.  Love this card that has lots of Sticker Stitches, Sticker Sentiments and a little lady bug sticker all from SRM.  Thank you Amy for your wonderful work with SRM.

Next up is Annette Allen who just started her own online business so she left the team a little early.  We miss her so.  Not only is she a wonderful talent but this girl's got energy.  What a positive, kind and loving person she is.  We wish her nothing but the best!  Love this project using SRM Stickers.  She always creates something special.  If you want to make this project, the frame is from Ikea.  And the mini calendars are from SRM!

Although we have to say farewell, I know that it is not goodbye.  I know that we will see all of these ladies from time to time using their SRM products and sharing with us.

Thank you to you all!  I love you and will miss you so!

Come join us on Monday when our new team begins.  It's going to be fun!

Pineapple Mason Jars with Patterned Vinyl by Juliana

Hello everyone and Happy Summer! It's Juliana with you today and I'm sharing a set of Pineapple Mason Jar Drinking Glasses that I created using the fabulous SRM Stickers Patterned Vinyl. I love to dress up simple mason jars with vinyl and I thought it would be fun to give them a bit of a summer vibe with a pineapple shape I cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. I used the Yellow and Green Polka Dot Patterned Vinyl.

If you'd like to create your own set of Pineapple Mason Jar Drinking Glasses you can download the Pineapple Digital Cut File for free.

I sized the image to 3 inches in height and then cut the pieces from the various colors of vinyl. I then used transfer tape to help me place the images onto the jars. I then dressed up each jar with a bit of jute and fun paper straw.

I filled them with fresh lemonade, but there are so many great summertime drinks that would be fabulous served in these at your next get together!

Thanks for stopping by today!
HUGS!

NOTE FROM SUSAN:

Thank you Juliana for your wonderful projects throughout your terms.  Although we know that you have lots going on, I want our readers to know that they will still be seeing you from time to time here on the SRM Blog as a guest designer.  We love Juliana and she loves her SRM!

Mr. & Mrs. Doily Card by Shantaie

Hi, I'm Shantaie, as one of the designers here at SRM I find myself continually seeking to "reinvent the wheel" as the saying goes. The new and innovative use of products is literally my job, but sometimes a classic in an unexpected color is just the ticket.

Weddings are often thought of in whites and pastels, but a bold sophisticated black is stunning paired with a doily and a few sequins!

I topped the doily with a round take 2 stickers by the dozen wedding sticker in the center, and added a single row border from the same wedding sticker sheet. The simplest little twine bow is placed just above the border....because I love the softness of a little bit of twine!

To place the sequins I just dropped a small handful of metallic neutrals and glued them exactly where they fell, easy and random!

I love that this wedding card could also double as an anniversary card, and is clean and simple enough to make in a hurry and still have time to wrap a gift before dashing out the door! :)

Polychromos & SRM by Michele

Hello there! Michele here with a card using my new Polychromo colored pencils and a SRM Sticker.

I love the variety of choice that crafting allows me. I never get bored as I try new things, or rediscover old items in my stash.  I love coloring and wanted to try out my new Polychromo pencils.

I masked the flowers so I could have many of them on my card.  Once I was done coloring, I added glossy accents for depth, plus they intensify the colors a bit, which I love!  I also added an SRM Sticker by the Dozen-Thank you, to finish it off.  That's what I love about SRM....it's easy peasy and looks so finished and professional!

Thank you so much for stopping and taking a peek!

Happiness is a Bowl of Ice Cream by Michele

Good morning friends!
I have a summer card for you that uses a cute cut from Silhouette.

I absolutely LOVE ice cream in the summer time......okay, seriously, who am I kidding? I LOVE ice cream ALL the time! ;)  Everything on the card was water colored with my Zig markers.  I added glossy accents and glitter to my scoops and cherry.

The sentiment was a perfect finishing touch from SRM's We've Got Your Border-Bright collection!  I love how SRM has the perfect sentiment for any card!

Thank you for stopping by today!!

Stamped Stitches Background Stamp by Juliana

Hello everyone! It's Juliana here with you to share a card I created using the SRM Stickers Stamped Stitches stamp set.  It is a great set, that is perfect for creating stitched borders on cards, scrapbook pages and more. However, I thought it would be fun to share with you a different way to use this stamp set.

Instead of using each stamp individually, I placed each of the stamps on to a large acrylic stamping block and created my own background stamp. I stamped the image using Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and then heat set it using a heat gun.

I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to create the rainbow of colors. I wanted to keep the colors bright, so I only added a very small amount of water to help blend the individual colors.

To further embellish the card, I added several die cut stars and some wood veneer stars. The final touch was a stamped sentiment. I used the "Hello" from the Coffee Time stamps set using Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

I hope you enjoyed learning a fun new way to use the SRM Stickers Stamped Stitches stamp set. Thanks for stopping by today!
HUGS!

Bible Journaling on Romans 12:15 by Christine

Ever have a verse that just sticks out to you for several days.  Romans 12:15 has been in my brain so I decided to art journal it and reflect a little more on putting it into practice!

Life sometimes throws some hard situations that way and although we like to share our art we may not want to share the personal journaling.  This is where SRM's Le Pens come in handy....you can use them on the back side of your cardstock and they don't bleed thru and you don't have to share your feelings with the world.  I did just that for this piece!  I let God's word do the talking to share and reflected on my own on the backside.

I LOVE the Big Faith stamps (and am so excited for the new releases!!!) and The big REJOICE was the focus for my verse.  But I also used several different stamp sets for my doodling!  And added some loops around the edge, also from the Rejoice stamp.

The Doodle Flowers set is so versatile and worked perfectly for this! After stamping with it - I then used gelatos to add some messy color.  I also used the Life is Good set for my hearts and Springtime for my butterflies.

Crabby Days Summer Card by Shantie

Hi again, Shantaie here with a crabby but cute summertime shaped card.

I cut this adorable crab with my Silhouette and added a bit of olive ink to his edges and used the bistro chalk marker to add a few crustacean-esque spots and highlights. He is way too adorable!!

Two hands in the air for lazy days of summer! This guy is pretty excited about his sign, made from a white banner and the August monthly memories sticker. How can you not smile when you see this crabby!!!

Have a fun and maybe even a lazy summer day!

Hello Sunshine by Michele

Hello there! Michele here with a fun summertime card! I colored this sweet bear with my Polychromo pencils and sponged the edges with a light blue ink.

I added some die cut clouds and a sun behind him.

I added a sentiment from SRM's sentiment/spring collection. I wanted a bit of stitching at the bottom so I used SRM's Sticker Stitches in black I adhered a few sequins here and there for my finishing touch.

I hope I brought a bit of sunshine to your day today! :)

Guest Designer - Roberta Rosi

Hello!  Susan here today bringing you a guest designer, one of our past design team members, Roberta Rosi.

Roberta Rosi is one of our all time great designers.  What a talent.  When she left the team she sent me a note with some cards she created using our Take 2 Thank You stickers, doilies, punched pieces and twine.

Here's what Roberta said:

I’ve used the “Take 2 - Thank you” stickers to create cards in green and pink tones. With these two cards, I thank all of you for the last year, spent together ... for me it has been an unforgettable experience! Thanks again Susan!  A hug from Italy!

I never shared these cards before, but I thought what a perfect time to do it as our new design team is ready to begin their term.

I love all the surprises that each design team member creates.

Roberta's style is so clean and crisp.  Love how she uses kraft with doilies and love the tiny stitching around the edgiest of the card.

A big shout out to Roberta Rosi for all the beautiful creations that she made using SRM.  I did a google search and found so many beautiful projects.  Just search "Roberta Rosi SRM Images" and you can see more details.

Grazie Mille Roberta!

I know that the new term does not start until August 1st but I thought that I would share another new Design Team members' craftiness.

Amber Rasmussen is already loving her SRM.  She even had some on hand before she got her new samples!

I love the combination of stickers and stamps.  SRM's clear stickers are the perfect solution for your sentiments.

Wouldn't you just love to get this Hello card from a friend?

Well, the samples for the new Design Team members have been sent.  Get ready for lots of SRM fun over the next months with new products and new team members.

See you again soon!

Peanuts on Parade by Shantie

Hello!  Shantie here today to share a fun project.
Containers, are one of my favorite crafty products, clear containers that offer a colorful peek-a-boo inside are probably the most fun ever!

A panel of patterned paper is embellished with a sweet baby elephant holding a balloon. The balloon is highlighted with a white bistro chalk marker and a twisting twine bow in cantaloupe.  I added a simple greeting of baby love from the we've got your border baby girl and a border from the baby sentiment sheet.

Making favors, gifts, or packages of any kind is just a little more fun and eye catching with a clear box!

Sunny Smiles by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a bright, cheerful, summer card!  I have been cleaning my craft room, which is a HUGE monumental task, and came across this background stamp.  I am not even sure who it is by.  I embossed it in white and colored it with my Zig markers.

I layered a sunshine stencil over it and applied clear embossing paste.  I sprinkled a glittery embossing powder over it.

I went back and added shadows to each of the sun's rays with a gray Zig marker.

I die cut the "sun" and water colored each in pink and yellow.  I added an SRM Summer Sentiment to the center.  I added some dots around the sun with a white gel pen and adhered a few sequins

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Bible Journaling by Karen

The new term of our new Design Team does not start until August 1st but I thought to give you a peek at the amazing talent of these ladies.   Today I'm sharing something from Karen Hunter.  I discovered her first on our Bible Journaling Journey group on Facebook.   Each day I would see an amazing post from her so I was really excited when I saw that she had applied for the design team.

Turns out that Karen had loved SRM for a long time… making cards and layouts and crafty projects!  But her latest passion is Bible Journaling and she is amazing! Here's one of her pages.  I was tickled to see a bit of SRM Sticker Stitches on this page.

If you love to Bible Journal, you are going to love all the inspiration that Karen will be giving you.  I can't wait to see what she does with our new Bible Journaling stamps!  I think that's she's also going to love the Le Pen markers and all of the new Water Coloring markers and pencils and blender brushes!

Join us tomorrow for a peek at one of our other new designers.

Life is Good by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a fun water colored/shaker card!
I used one of my favorite stickers from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker Plus.  I adore this little bird!

I water colored the background with my Zig markers and a stencil.  After it was dry, I splattered it with a bit of black paint.  For the front of the card, I die cut the center with a circle and water colored the rest of it.

I adhered a piece of acetate behind it and built up the back of it with foam tape. For my finishing touches, I tied a twine and added a few sequins.  The sentiment is also from the, We've Got Your Sticker Plus set.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!
