Hello Friend by Lesley

Hello SRM Fans! Lesley here sharing a card I made using watercoloring with distress inks! I love this adorable cat stamp set called A Cat's Life from Jane's Doodles! SO super cute and fun to color.

I decided to ink the cat images with waterproof black ink and try colouring them with my distress inks. I washed a light blue sky behind them and added some sequins for a bit of sparkle. The twine is called Mandarin.  I love using orange and aqua together on a card!

I wanted a larger sentiment for my card and so I dug out my favourite stickers from SRM; the Fancy Sentiment/Thinking of You stickers! They have such a lovely font!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a great week!

Be My Valentine Treat Bags by Shantaie

Hi, Shantaie here with a trio of candy filled treats for Valentines.
I filled my rustic linen bags with lace with jelly beans in shades of reds, pinks, and whites, you know how it is the red ones are always the favorites!
I used the Valentine stickers by the dozen, over a gold flag and added a bit of extra bling with sequins. A corrugated glitter cardstock was used to punch out sparkly hearts, and a bitty tag stamped with hearts from the  tea time stamp set is tied on with my favorite gold shimmer twine

I wanted my treat bags to be pretty and shimmery but still be super quick for last minute gifts or to make one for everyone the whole office! Spread the love!

Happy day, and save a few red jelly beans for yourself. ;)

I Love You by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a little Valentine/anniversary card to share with you!

I  absolutely adore this new Jane's Doodle's set called, Love Birds!   It is such a sweet set.  I wanted these little birdies to profess their love by moonlight.  So I punched a circle out of scrap card stock and placed it over my "good" card stock.  I sponged yellow ink.  Then I took the circle I had punched, laid it over the yellow moon, and sponged shades of blue around it.

I love the halo effect I had and decided to add a bit of glitter around it.  The bird were colored with Copic markers.  I added glossy accents to their wings and beaks.  I sprinkled glitter over them.  I also added Flower Soft to the branch for added dimension and texture. I slipped a doily between layers for added sweetness.  ;)

I was on a glossy accents kick I guess, because I also added it to the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Blessed Bible Journaling by Christine

Have you tried out Bible Journaling yet? Many people journal right in their bible but I choose to be inspired by the bible to create faith based artwork.  Hope you enjoy it!

Christine joining you today to share a new Bible inspired piece using the newest stamps from SRM! At the end of a long, challenging week - sitting down with some watercolor paints, my Bible, and beautiful stamps was just what my heart needed.  Here's what I created to share with you:

I used the new BIG Faith Stamps to create my row of "Blessed" words.

I used nine as a base to journal in the part of scripture called the Beattitudes from Matthew 5.  Each phrase begins with "Blessed" in the verses and I thought it would be neat to do those.

I created my background using watercolors.  That was a first for me!  I got some watercolor paper and then just started painting circles and overlapping them.

After I added in all the writing/word stamping that I wanted on it I used the cross stamp from Words of Faith stamp set and added some of those.

I then doodled some circles and actually decided to fill in the crosses to give it a bold punch! I love that the cross is open so you have the option to add designs or doodles to it!  I'm going to be hanging this up just above my scrapbooking desk as a regular reminder for myself!

Celebrate Life by Michele

Michele here with a shaker card to share with you!  I had cut hearts out of water color paper for a previous project and decided to put the negative space to good use.  I inked it in shades of pink, orange, and yellow.

The background piece behind the heart was water colored in coordinating colors.  I attached acetate behind heart panel, then foam tape around each heart.  (backside)  I sprinkled sequins in each section and adhered the entire thing to the water colored piece.  I added silk ribbon and an SRM sticker from the Sentiment/Life is Good collection

I added sweet cupcakes to the centers with teeny rhinestones on top.

Sometimes I just love looking through my stash to create.  The SRM clear sentiments are always great for this kind of spontaneous card.  So many sentiments to choose from.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

January Planner Pages by Christine

Aren't you just loving all the new Planner Products coming your way from SRM!?!  I am so excited about them!  I used a couple on this month's planner but I didn't have them all quite yet.  So here's some spreads from my January Planner using a mix of old and new products. There are lots of details to planner pages so if you want to check them out even closer just click on the picture and it will get much bigger for you!

I have settled into a style and set up for my planner pages and that makes creating them easier and quicker.  For open spots on my days I always add in some patterned paper. I like the way this adds in some color and a visual break.  I always stamp a heart on those to remind myself that it's a break time to spend taking care of myself and my family.  This week I used a solid heart from the Life is Good stamp set.  That stamp set just stays with my planner supplies - it's got a lot of cute options for planners!

I was so excited to play with the Free Style Winter stickers!  Love those whimsical letters and what they add to the spread!

The Little Borders in Silver & White were perfect for breaking up my rows this week.

Calendar Companion is a must have in my book and is so perfect for adding little notes like a Birthday flag.

My second week incorporates the Freestyle Winter and Life is Good Stamp Set again.

I added in some Black Sticker Stitches where I needed a little something extra. I really like how that blanket stitch looks!

This page also includes the Live Life/Calendar sticker sheet.  It's January and it's Illinois so "brrrr....it's cold" is only appropriate!

To play off the heart stamp and sticker stitches I added in some doodling around my circle stickers from the Freestyle Winter set.

We're looking forward to seeing what you are doing with your Planners this year - make sure to share them with us on Facebook!

Fabric Bags & Stamps by Annette

Susan here today sharing some stamped fabric bags created by Annette Allen for the SRM booth at CHA.  They were a BIG hit!

I love what Annette does with fabric bags and stamps…. sheer genius!  For these two bags Annette used 2 of our new Jane's Doodles stamps.

First up is a SRM burlap bag, embellished with 2" white lace and beautiful daisies with a little bee!  This design is from Jane's Doodles new Daisies stamp.
What a treat this would be to use as a gift bag!

Love this beautiful stamp with all the fabulous details and wonderful sentiments.
Jane's flowers are always so beautiful!

Annette's second project is made using a SRM Muslin Bag, Jane's Doodles new Special Delivery stamp and some SRM baby border stickers.  So adorable!

And here's the Special Delivery stamp that is totally adorable and fun!

So remember to combine SRM's fabric bags with stamping.  The results are amazing!

Let it Snow by Shannon

It's been a strange winter leading up to the new year.
Snow seems to be missing this year (well, for most of us). I created this project using SRM goodies, in hopes that snow will fall and create some winter magic.

I purchased some frames from an online discount site, they sat on my shelves waiting for me to pick them up and create something.

Finally, inspiration came!  First I painted the frame.  Once it was painted and dried, I set it aside. I then took a Medium Muslin Bag and cut it into two pieces. I did the same with a SRM Burlap Bag. I adhered those to the frame backing, to provide a base for my decoration.

I used white card stock to create the "hills" I simply traced around a plate and free handed them. Using Jane's Doodles "Warm Wishes", I stamped and colored snowmen, snowflakes, stars and trees. to set the snowy scene, I placed the stamped images throughout the hills.

I added "let it snow" to the image using Winter Sentiment stickers. I tied some twine around the top and added a few sequins before popping it back into the frame. It's ready to go!

In this case, it went to a good home as a Christmas present to my Auntie Claudia and Uncle Pete.

Here's a close up of the Jane's Doodles!

Thanks for letting me share with you! Happy 2016! Here's to the year ahead!

Bible Journaling by Christine

Hi SRM fans!  Christine joining you today with a chance to share some faith based projects. I was so excited when I heard SRM was coming out with some stamps that are for Bible Journaling.   I haven't got into the journaling directly into the Bible - but I do love to sketch out verses that are meaningful to me and get artistic with those.  Today I have a few to share with you that highlight SRM stamps!  I used gelatos to make all my backgrounds and didn't involve water at all.

First up I did a page with 1 Corinthians 13:13 and focused especially on the "faith, hope, and love" part using the Words of Faith and BIG Faith Stamps.  I also used a bunch of stamps from the Doodle Flower stamp set - this was a really nice addition to the words!  To create my background I simply did a quick blot from the gelato and then used a sponge to spread it out.

This second one I went a lot bolder with the gelatos and really made the color richer.  The verse came from Psalm 115:18.  I experimented with using extra layers of paper on this one to see how that changed up the coloring and effect (see "Praise the Lord"). I love that about journaling - it allows you to experiment! I used all the same stamp sets but this time created a scene of flowers and really played up the border stamp from the Doodle Flower Stamp Set!

My last page comes from Philippians 4:4 and really focuses on the Big Faith stamp and the heart is from the Life is Good stamp set.

I know you are going to love these stamps - not only for Bible Journaling but also cards and planners too!  We can't wait to see what you create!
