Advent Calendar Inspiration

We are so excited to showcase three exceptional Advent Calendars today. They are fun, interactive, and such a treat for the little ones in our lives.

Liz Weber used a tutorial to assemble her calendar and our number stickers to label each little drawer which contains a chocolate treat;

Shannon Morgan's banner is more of a countdown to Christmas - what a wonderful way to generate excitement for the special day;

Last but certainly not least, we have an exciting Advent Calendar by one of our favorite previous Designers, Tania Willis;

Tania was asked, once again, by Silhouette to create an advent calendar using their product. You might remember her fantastic 2011 Advent Calendar HERE. You can find out more about her 2013 project, view more photographs, and read about Tania's Advent Calendar journey HERE. As a special promotion, Silhouette is offering SRM Stickers readers a discount on the calendar. Just enter the code BLACK and you can purchase the calendar HERE at 40% off through today.

Have a great weekend, I hope you find some crafty time!

Mini Calendar by Liz

We shown several ways to use our Mini Calendar stickers and here's another idea by Liz Weber. Liz used a card base to display a 2013 mini desk calendar.

Liz created the base using a die and a folded piece of 5" x 5" white cardstock. She placed the die slightly off the fold to achieve the card shape.

Liz used another die to cut a dozen squares. She placed mini calendar stickers onto the squares and layered them using a very small strip of double sided tape.

Cake Topper by Tracey

Tracey Taylor is here with a fun way to dress up a cake - with a personalized banner! She used our Labels by the Dozen (perfect for banners), buttons, and skewers;

Tracey's inspiration for this cake topper came from Pinterest. Have you seen the SRM Stickers Pinterest Board? Just click on the link on the sidebar for a peek at some fantastic sticker projects!

Tracey says, "Working with the label stickers made this topper quick and easy to assemble because of the adhesive back and awesome designs. I backed the sticker in white cardstock part way up the sticker and left the top part sticky so I could fold it over the twine and stick the pieces on - quick and easy!"

Tracey was kind enough to share the cake recipe, you can find it HERE.

Mini Album by Amy

Amy Duff had a great idea to use our Year of Memories 2013 sticker sheet for a mini album to document a week of her life. Amy says, "The days fly by and sometimes I forget what I did if it weren't for receipts and a paper calendar. I hope to store a few items from my week by tucking them in under the pattern papers and add a little journaling to highlight each day. Even if I don't capture a photo, I think this mini will be neat to showcase a paper trail of odds and ends. My kids give me small trinkets all the time. Always a delight to see what they have for me, well most of the time. I generally come home with rocks, flowers, tiny pieces from a sticker, a single bead, and if lucky, a hand drawn note. Wish there was a way to capture their hugs. I plan to include quite a few items from them since I spend a better part of my week with these darlings."

Amy painted the chipboard covers and distressed. She used patterned paper and included a few acrylic pieces. The aqua doily was sent to Amy from a friend and she wanted to include it in her keepsake album.

What a great idea to memorialize a week of your life! Thank you Amy!

It's a Wrap! by Jan

We have more projects to share from Jan Tatomir today. Jan was asked to work her magic with SRM Stickers and gift wrap, and created a Valentine and Birthday project.

Jan says, "Wrapping presents is like therapy to me! Combining SRM border stickers and tags with my wrapping makes it even more enjoyable! Here are a few of the newest border stickers, Valentines and Birthday, along with a few Stickers and Labels by the Dozen, sprinkled in for good measure."

For Jan's first project, she spray-painted a paper mache' box with red glitter paint and added the ribbon wrapped stem to make it a wand. She added a border sticker to each of the ribbons and around the lid of the box. (Love that!) Jan decorated the top of the box with a wide ribbon, a border sticker and a heart sticker;

Jan's Birthday project serves as a Gift Card Holder. Jan used a cross stitch hoop as her base. She backed it with cardstock and fashioned the top with cardstock, patterned paper, and a zipper for a fun opening. She decorated the top and the side of the hoop with birthday borders;

To our United States friends we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow. We're back on Friday with a Gift Card Pouch that will inspire you to make your own! Stop by and say hello...

Tiny Calendars by Jan

Jan Tatomir went to work with our 2013 Tiny Calendar Stickers -- check out the creative projects she put together!

First up is a Year To Remember Calendar. Jan created a swivel calendar/mini album, complete with photographs. She layered tiny calendar stickers over monthly icon stickers from the Calendar Companion set, and added the month name and year;

Jan also assembled a matchbook calendar. Jan secured the matchbook with mini magnets. You simply tear-off each month as needed. What a perfect purse calendar;

Last but not least - a calendar magnet!  Jan used a 1 1/4" square punch to punch-out squares from patterned paper and cardstock. She then used a square scallop punch on the negative of the punched squares. She used thin strips of foam tape on the bottom and sides to hold them together. Jan adhered the tiny calendar stickers to pieces transparency and trimmed them. Each one slides into the frame from the top opening for easy changing every month. Jan placed magnet strips on the back so it can be displayed on the refridgerator or message board;

Mini Desk Calendar

Welcome back to the SRM Stickers Blog! Looking for a fun, quick, and easy project that's great for kids, too? Here's a desk calendar using calendar cards on a mini easel. I saw this simple idea on Pinterest, pulled out my SRM Mini Calendar Stickers and Border Stickers, and went to work. So fun!

My daughter liked my mini and wanted to do something similar. She used SRM's Tiny Calendar Stickers and copied the idea onto tiny pieces of cardstock, held together with a ring. She intends to hang it from her backpack;

SRM carries several calendar products; from our tiny 1x1" 2013 stickers to full-sized customizable calendars, and even Baby's First Year Calendars. You can see and purchase everything, HERE!
